We have been teaching people to surf in Costa Rica for six years & everyone surfs their first lesson. 100%. This is because we have the right equipment, and teach in the right conditions for any beginner. We generally have good waves all year long here, and there are plenty of barrel beach breaks, peeling reefs, long river mouth breaks and sandbars to keep even jaded travel/surfers coming back for more. The best part is Costa Rica is a lot safer and closer than many other tropical destinations. Our tours can take you to secluded secret point breaks, boat trips to some killer reefs, and my favorite, longboarding (or shortboarding) what I call the “One kilometer miracle”. We have quality rental boards, and offer surf taxi service in the Esterillos area. Our goal is to get you into the water and surfing as much as possible in the best waves for your ability level, and do so in a stress free, relaxed environment so all you have to think about is your next wave….
Warm water, year round. Feel free to inquire about conditions when planning your next trip. We have a good idea what it will be like at any given time of year, plus tides, rainfall etc.
Rentals- $25 delivered to the beach
Tours- $35 pp
Lessons- $55 “Everyone gets up.” A great way to start out surfing, or just improve. We offer our inside knowledge of the many local breaks, and always keep it safe and comfortable for everyone.
